The creation of Malie designs began in 2021 with the hope of illuminating native and endemic Hawaiian species, carrying out Hawaiian cultural practices, and continuing the use of ʻōlelo Hawai’i. The products Malie Designs sells to spearhead this mission include stickers of native species, hand-dyed accessories using natural ingredients like ʻōlena or turmeric and ʻaʻa or coconut husk, and clothing designed to represent various Olelo Noeau.
